Use the Create button at the bottom of the page to create your Class Notebook. Teachers can switch between the Teacher's notebook and the Student's notebook by selecting from the links at the top of the page. Step 6 provides a graphical preview of what the Class Notebook layout will look like.Teachers can choose which of the default sections to include, or add their own by selecting the Add more link at the bottom of the list. Step 5 provides teachers with an opportunity to customize the private notebooks for their students.Teachers who create a Class Notebook in Canvas can choose to allow Canvas to add students automatically instead of having to add students manually. Step 4 highlights one of the biggest advantages to integrating OneNote Class Notebooks into Canvas.Start typing the name or email address of a teacher and Canvas will help you search. Step 3 provides an opportunity to invite other teachers to participate in your Class Notebook.Step 2 will provide a preview of the different sections your Class Notebook will have, and the permissions that teachers and students will have for each section.By default, your new Class Notebook will have the same name as your course, but you can set it to anything you want. To get started with a OneNote Class Notebook in Canvas, click on the Class Notebook link on the course menu.It is only suitable for use with new Class Notebooks created in Canvas. The OneNote for Canvas integration cannot be linked to a pre-existing Class Notebook.Once a Class Notebook has been created in Canvas, teachers have the option to create a new one, but doing so will unlink the original Class Notebook from the course. Canvas can only be linked to one Class Notebook at a time.Two important notes for teachers interested in using a OneNote Class Notebook in Canvas with their students: For some steps it might be necessary to scroll down to see the Next button.
